Andrew Bowden guides the strategic direction of the company and is the main point of contact with the board of directors, management team, and operations. Since his appointment to CEO at the start of the Company’s 2020 fiscal year, Item 9 Labs Corp. has seen strong, steady performance with sequential quarter-over-quarter growth rates around 20%.
Also the CEO and co-founder of Bowden Investment Group, Bowden’s experience with fundraising and partnering efforts has led to a successful career focused on multi-tier investment strategies in real estate, technology and sustainable sectors. A disruptor at heart, during his nine-year real estate career, he started developing Net Zero Building projects that produced as much energy as they consumed in a year. He also owns Octane CrossFit, where he gained a better understanding of how health movements can benefit both operators and consumers.
Bowden’s collective career experience is serving him well, as a lead drive in the master expansion of the Item 9 Labs cultivation site in Coolidge, Arizona. The Company is currently expanding its operations space by more than 3,200% with the development of 314,000 square-feet of greenhouses, 80,000 square-feet of indoor space, 60,000 square-feet of ancillary support buildings, and 5 acres of outdoor grow space.
His entry into the medical marijuana market was spurred by his mother’s illness. With a stage 3, triple negative breast cancer diagnosis, research showed that cannabis could help manage the side effects from traditional medical treatments. She is now three years cancer free and attributes medical cannabis as a tremendous aid in her treatment.Back to Management
